Works Well used under cover, great Outdoorish light, wish it was IP65 so it was a true outdoor light

I needed a replacement unit after the original 26 year old IR motion detect security floodlights died due to UV damage and found that the ALUSSO unit to be a suitable delight to use. Firstly, it is lighter in weight than my original unit that made use of high wattage incandescent halogen bulbs (globes) that can burn out and have to be replaced. secondly, the ALUSSO unit make use of LEDs which are not only lighter in weight but consume far less electricity and theoretically, have a far longer life than incandescent bulbs.The fitting is so easy that I didn't even have to bother referencing the (unfortunately, pretty badly presented "User Instruction sheet with such miniscule tiny fonts that only ants with a magnifying glass can read) and anyone with a rudimentary knowledge and skill in electrical wiring should be able to do the installation. However, since mains power hardwiring is required, getting a skilled professional electrician to do the job is highly recommended for safety sake.I chose the WHITE light setting for maximum brightness for my otherwise very pitch-black yard and I was extremely pleased by that choice as the brilliance is surprisingly brighter than my previous twin 55watt quartz halogen bulbs in the older unit the ASLUSSO replaces. It also shows just how far LED lighting technology has advanced over incandescent lighting.While pleased by the ease of installation and the performance of the ALUSSO motion detect spot lamps, how well it will continue to perform through the test of time against the rigors of the open environment (high heat of summer, lashing rainstorms and icy cold snow and ice of winter) over the years to come.

Item arrived within time specified, as described, installed relatively easily.Functions well, both sensor detection and constant on function.Time will tell how long it lasts, I'm more than pleased with its operation from new. Seems good value for $ outlay.
